The research on use of mixed reality technologies in culture and learning environments that started in our Futuristic History project continues now in the larger scale project MIRACLE – Mixed Reality Applications for Culture and Learning Applications. The project’s first seminar was held on January 16.
The event took place in Turku at the St Mary’s Church, or Maaria Church, and its vicarage and began with an introduction to the church and its long history. During the afternoon seminar the present project partners introduced themselves and the research staff presented their initial work plan for the first few months. The event was concluded with a meeting of the steering group.
MIRACLE is mostly funded by Tekes with smaller shares by the research and industry partners. The numerous partners are listed on the project website.
University of Turku issued a press release in Finnish about the start of the project.
